Join Bob, Laurel, and special guest Shino Tanikawa for a discussion about some of the issue around equity, diversity, and inclusion in the nonprofit sector and in fundraising in particular.


About our special guest:


Shino is the Executive Director of the NYC Soil & Water Conservation District, a governmental natural resources conservation organization. She has served on the board of multiple non-profits and has held officer’s positions on several. She is currently on the board of the Fair Housing Justice Center. She has experience with start-up non-profits and is currently co-chairing the steering committee of a fledgling grassroots organization focused on public education.

Shino is also a racial justice activist participating in anti-racism organizations. She was asked to serve on the Diversity Equity Inclusion Committee of the NYC Audubon to develop a DEI Plan for the organization
