Laura Goodwin

As Vice President of The Osborne Group, Laura brings 15 years of fund-raising experience to the team. She joined the firm in 2002, after serving for nearly nine years at Sarah Lawrence College, first as the Director of Annual Giving and later as the Director of Donor Relations and Campaign Communications. While at Sarah Lawrence she oversaw a 20% growth in giving over 5 years, introduced a new marketing identity for the annual fund, oversaw the strategic planning for campaign communications, and developed a comprehensive stewardship program.

Since joining The Osborne Group, Laura has devoted half of her practice to traditional consulting and campaign planning. Laura has developed a diverse client base, having worked with the Wildlife Conservation Society, Oakwood Healthcare System, Westminster School, the Brearley School, and most recently, Poughkeepsie Day School on planning or implementing a campaign.

The rest of her practice is focused on creating and delivering training to her clients, from one-day workshops to diverse audiences, to comprehensive curriculum used to build capacity enterprise-wide. Skilled at both face-to-face and online training, Laura's sessions are highly interactive and reach all experience levels from newcomers to seasoned professionals.

Laura Goodwin enjoys an excellent reputation as a practical, hands-on workshop leader training groups as large as 1,000 and as small as one-to-one coaching. Content rich sessions that are both fun and experiential for CASE, AFP International and dozens of colleges, universities, schools, and not-for-profits, have made Laura a highly sought-after trainer and consultant.
